Some Frequently Asked Questions about Streaming

Can I pause it and watch it later?

The full video for each stream will become available at its start time (either 2.30pm or 7.30pm) and remain so for 3 hours. You can play and pause the video as you’d like, but please make sure to watch the whole thing before the end of your slot (5.30pm or 10.30pm, respectively).

How much are tickets?

We operate a ‘Pay What You Decide’ model for this streaming event. Simply choose what you’re happy paying from the dropdown menu in your basket.

How can I watch on my TV?

You’ll be watching our show through this website. If you have a Smart TV or something like an Amazon TV stick you can view this site directly on your television, by finding this site via any web browsing software.

If not then there are lots of ways to hook up your device to your TV.

  • Via a cable. If your computer has the facility, use an HDMI cable to connect it to your TV.
  • Use Google’s Chromecast equipment to broadcast from your smartphone or computer to your TV.
  • If you’re using Apple devices, you can mirror the screens using their AirPlay system.

If you’ve found other great ways to view websites though your TV, let us know and we can add them here to share with everyone.

Can I share the link to watch with my friends?

The link to the stream that you were sent on booking will only work for those who have bought a ticket to that specific show. If you want to send the link to a friend to watch with you, then they’ll need to buy a ticket using the ‘Buy now’ button. Or they can book directly via the Royal Exchange website.
